1423. Frederick the Quarrelsome receives the Saxon Electorate.
At the Albrechtsburg Castle in Meissen, the circumstances and everything that followed are illuminated. The climax is the election of the emperor: framed by larger-than-life electors, a long table illustrates the process, rules, and ceremonies. At the end of the table: the imperial crown—and the throne for visitors who feel worthy. In the final room, four fictional exhibits, based on four animated graphic novels, depict four scenarios of what Saxony might look like today if history had unfolded slightly differently.
