With the Thomas Bernhard quote "I hate nature" and the associated special exhibition, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar introduces the "New Nature" theme year. The experimentally designed exhibition visualizes the conflict between man and nature: most impressively in the centre of the show. Laid out as an interactive 360° experience, the presence of visitors slowly transforms landscapes into infrastructure and buildings. If they leave the room again, nature overgrows the resulting structures. A constant struggle. Historical texts are placed in new visual contexts like highlights around this centre: a quote from Goethe with the construction of the Aswan Dam, a poem by Rilke with the deforestation of the rain forest. A sometimes oppressive current impact reveals itself.
