As a result of a comprehensive visitor analysis, additional attractive and engaging outdoor experiences are being developed at Königstein Fortress to provide intuitive answers to frequently asked visitor questions. Particular emphasis is placed on explaining the fortress’s sophisticated defensive systems in a clear and accessible way.
As part of an innovative technical installation, a fictional attack on the fortress is brought to life. The events can be experienced visually, acoustically, and even haptically, creating an immersive encounter with the site’s history. At the same time, modern technological solutions ensure a highly accessible visitor experience.
Located in the entrance area of the fortress, the new installation will complement the existing educational offerings and enrich the visitor journey with an interactive and contemporary form of storytelling.
