With the discovery portals, the Free State of Thuringia is breaking new ground in tourism marketing. The idea is simple: where there are regularly many guests, we show the broad cultural landscape of Thuringia in an impressive presentation and invite guests to explore more than the well-known hotspots.
For the portal on the Wartburg, a 360° media room was set up in the historic chauffeur's house of the castle. Light, sound and the large-format video walls create an immersive space and allow visitors to take in the atmosphere of the most exciting places in Thuringia. An adventure lounge offers the opportunity to delve deeper and new seminar rooms on the upper floor expand the Wartburg's educational range.
In addition to on-site presentations, a web app with a variety of additional information, audio walks and features complements the discovery portal.
