For the very first time, the synopsis of Goethe’s natural science collection is presented as one of the most outstanding collections from the time between the Age of Enlightenment and the Romantic Era. The numerous exhibits allow visitors to take a closer look at the topic. At the same time, multimedia boxes help to reconsider own perspectives on Goethe as scientist, each box being a new discovery.
Various historical scenes structure the topics of the exhibition areas. Whilst consciously avoiding to impart extensive amounts of knowledge, here a digital biography allows the visitor to get to know Goethe as scientist.
